BIL DEM Crashes Pathloss

I've had this problem for a while.

The following operations crash Pathloss 5.1 for me:

1) Open Pathloss
2) Configure>Set GIS Configuration
3) Primary DEM tab
4) Digital elevation model: Select 'BIL geographic DEM'

This crashes it for me, but all of the other options work.

Any suggestions?
