New USGS website - is it working for you?

The USGS Map Seamless Server has been shut down. Its replacement is:
http://nationalmap.gov/viewer.html

Once that page opens there's a link to "Click here to open Viewer." When I click on the link it takes me to a page that shows a nice pretty "Quick Tip" and some status text that says "Loading... "

I've waited 10 minutes, half an hour, more, it never does load the page to let me carry on and get my data! Anybody have any idea what's going on?

I've sent a Help request to the USGS people but have yet to hear anything.

My OS is Windows 7 pro 64 bit. I'm using IE 9.0.8112 on an HP Elitebook laptop.

I got tired of waiting for the USGS people to get back to me. Probably they never will. But still Internet Explorer will not work with the new site!

I tried Firefox and it DOES work! Then tried Google Chrome and it works too. Strange that the most common browser out there won't work with a brand-new website created by the US government...
